Furthermore, I've purchased expired food here numerous times, and their selection of organic food is sparse. Many things are labeled incorrectly. It's literally the worst publix I've EVER been to, and I used to work for a third party in Publix's all over the state, working in a large number of locations. This is by far the worst I've ever seen.
It's Publix. Expect a clean store, helpful friendly staff with many choices and pretty quick checkout. No pharmacy at this one as there's a CVS out front and with a Winn Dixie, Walmart nearby in a small town that's the reason. Bakery is great.
Only grocery store in Putnam county worth shopping at. Fresh meat and produce. The bakery is great. You can preorder your deli items and they will have them ready for you to pick up so you can get in and out fast. The staff is friendly, they give my kids free balloons every time we come in. Have never encountered a rude worker here.
I ordered a chicken sub for 5:30, got there at 5:45 and it wasn't ready, there was one guy in line so I figured they were just busy with him. They said 15 minutes for the chicken i said "that's fine", not sure why they didn't throw it in when I ordered it but it wasn't a big deal. I ended up sitting there for over an hour waiting to have my sub made and I was the only one in line... And they were out of white bread :( kinda early to start running out of things
Also, lmao at people complaining about having to take their own groceries to their car. Seriously? You're so entitled that you think you deserve someone to wait on you hand and foot? I see them helping Elderly people every time I am there. They are not obligated to help younger able bodied people. If you're healthy enough to have a baby you're healthy enough to push your own cart.
After the hurricane I called publix deli and specifically asked if they were open and serving food, she said yes, so I specifically said, "You have deli food? Like rice, green beans....?" She said, "Oh yeah, we just don't have things like chicken wings" and I said, "Well I'm a vegatarian so that's alright". I get in my car and drive across town to get there and wait in line for ten minutes and when I get closer I see there is NO food. And I said, "Seriously? You have no deli food?" And she said, "No we haven't had this open for several hours." I said, "I JUST called and asked!" She just shrugged her shoulders. Like, if you're so incompetent that you work IN the deli and answer the phone and you don't know that there's no food in the case, you shouldn't have a job at publix. Period. Thank you for wasting my time.
Today, Robert helped me unload my cart and check out - while we were putting my goodies on the belt prior to scanning, I scraped my arm on the cart, and my tissue paper skin started bleeding. Robert said 'back in a minute' and went and got me a bandage from his private stash! What a guy! Publix is very lucky to have this fine, caring young man in their employ!
