Beautiful. Went Nov 1st. Trails have been closed due to trees down from, Im guessing Irma? Not much to do with the trails down. Call ahead.

(*Update: this park was hit hard by the last hurricane. Until it's repaired, you can no longer drive on the road that goes through the park. It's still great for hiking, but parts of the park are off limits due to damage.) We've visited almost every park near Jacksonville in the 2 years since we moved here. This is at the top of the list and worth the hour drive and $5 admission. There are so many trails to hike. The suspension bridge is awesome (and a little scary if you hate heights, as I do). Dogs are allowed and we spent 2 hours hiking all through the park. The spring wasn't particularly big, but interesting. You can drive (one-way) down the street that takes you through the entire park. We did that first (it's about 2 miles, I think), then we went back through to find a spot to pull over and hike. There are lots of places to have a picnic as well. It's surprising to see such a steep ravine in Florida. We'll definitely be back.

Great for the kids, we loved it here. Went for a nice walk and took a bunch of pictures

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I rented one of the rooms for an event and they couldn't have been anymore helpful. Just shy of 5 stars as the kitchen could have been cleaner and there was food left in fridge from prior event. The park is beautiful and well kept

A beautiful park with a varied landscape of easy and more strenuous trails through and around the ravine. At just past the halfway point the reflecting pool offers a quiet place to rest with a tranquil view of the spring. A water fountain fitted to fill bottles is located near the bathrooms in the civic center.
